MAGNUSSON OPENS OFFICE IN MALMÖ

Magnusson continues growth with launch of its Malmö office as of 1 January 2012.

Magnusson provides integrated seamless services throughout the Baltic Sea Region. The opening of the Malmö office follows recent expansion to Finland and further reinforces the firm’s strategic position within the area. The third most populous city in Sweden, Malmö is together with Copenhagen a crucial part of the transnational region of Öresund.

At the beginning, Magnusson’s office will house three partners. The team’s core competencies include corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions, dispute resolution, intellectual property, real estate and construction, as well as private client.

Peter Friis, the local managing partner, is the only Swedish advokat speaking both native Danish and Swedish. He specializes in construction law, dispute resolution, intellectual property and corporate and commercial law. Prior to moving to Magnusson, Peter was a partner at Ramberg Advokater.

Jonas Holmstedt joins from Vinge in Helsingborg. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate, general contract law and dispute resolutions.

Tove Sjövall joined Magnusson as partner in September 2011 to head up the Magnusson Private Legal practice which provides high end advice on domestic and international matters to private clients. So far Tove has been based in the Copenhagen office and as of 1 January 2012 she moves to Malmö.

As the only law firm from Northern Europe, for three consecutive years Magnusson has also been runner up at The British Legal Awards in the category of The European Law Firm of The Year (2009-2011).
