Tove Sjövall is a partner and firm-wide head of Magnusson Private Legal.

Tove has many years of experience with international matters and cross border legal matters. Swedish and international business law and Swedish international private law, i.e. all private legal questions which relate to more than one country are her main areas of expertise.

Prior to joining Magnusson, Tove had her own practice specializing in cross border matters within business law and international private law. The work included frequent lectures in international private law as well as economic family law. Tove was, before starting her own practice, a business lawyer at Ernst & Young AB with assignments within all aspects of business law. Apart from giving legal advice in  business law the work included seminars and lectures internally as well as externally. Tove was also employed by Svedala Industri AB in Malmö as in house counsel (from February 1995)  where her assignments were focused on company law, all aspects of national and international business law, competition law and immaterial law. During 1994 Tove was positioned with a Belgian law firm (Heymans, Deville, Cailliau et Desefans) being a member, apart from the Swedish Bar Association, also of the Brussels Bar Association, where her working areas were questions related to EC/EEA/EU law as well as international business law but also including international private law.

Before that, Tove worked with Baker & McKenzie concentrating on legal questions within EC law and international business law. Tove started her career at one of the major firms then in Sweden, Landahl & Bauer where she worked mainly with questions arising from the legal fields of EC law and international as well as national business law.

Tove formerly held the position as chairman of the board of Stiftelsen Bladins skola, as well as member of the board of Öresundsadvokaterna.

Apart from her native Swedish, Tove is fluent in English and communicates in French.
