The Copenhagen team of Magnusson has been strengthened with the arrival of partners Søren Brinkmann and Karsten Duch Lynggaard.
Søren Brinkmann focuses on corporate finance, including M&A, banking and finance as well as on international contracts. He will be in charge of the banking and finance practice in Copenhagen and will work alongside partners Nikolaj Juhl Hansen, Jesper Kronborg and Anders Worsøe in the M&A team.

Prior to joining Magnusson,  Søren was a partner at a Danish law firm Lett and Eversheds. His past experience includes working at Kromann Reumert.

He is a law graduate of the University of Copenhagen. Søren also completed executive education programs at Columbia Business School (World Class Leadership), Stanford Law School (Board of Directors) and The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (Strategic Alliances).

Søren Brinkmann is recommended by Chambers Global 2014 in Denmark in the field of Corporate/M&A. Chambers Global noted in relation to Søren that he is a „pragmatic lawyer who is always available to help”. Søren has for several years been recognised byChambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and other directories as a leading individual in Denmark within Corporate/M&A, Banking & Finance and Capital Markets.

It is the second recent high profile arrival at Magnusson in Denmark. In March 2014, Karsten Duch Lynggaard joined as a partner. He primarily focuses on the TMT sector and his past experience includes working for almost 5 years as an in-house counsel at Danish telecoms giant TDC. Karsten has spent the past 4 years in China advising foreign companies in China as well as Chinese companies on out-bound investments and also joins Magnusson’s China practice group.

Magnusson’s Managing Partner in Copenhagen Nikolaj Juhl Hansen says: “I am thrilled that Søren is now joining us. He adds vast experience to our M&A team and is just the profile we have looked for to head up the banking team. We are eyeing an increase in transaction volumes, so the time is right to invest in adding profiles like Søren to our team. And bringing in Karsten just adds to the strength of our China practice that is really second to none in the Baltic Sea Region”.
