MAGNUSSON ASSISTS IN SPORTRINGEN’S FORMATION OF SWEDEN’S LARGEST SPORTS RETAILER

2014-11-07

Magnusson has through their Retail Group assisted Sportringen AB in the acquisition of Just4sport Sweden AB. Magnusson’s team consisted foremost of responsible partner David Ericson and David Nylén, LL.M.

Sportringen is a sports chain with stores all over Sweden. The acquisition is a natural step in Sportringen’s strategic expansion as Just4sport successfully acts on locations where Sportringen lacks representation. Sportringen will, through the acquisition, become Sweden’s largest sports store chain with 220 affiliated stores.

“The transaction has been carried out in an intensive pace and Magnusson’s experience from working within the retail industry has benefited the process in various respects”, says Thomas Wallhager, CEO at Sportringen.

“It is great that Magnusson’s Retail Group has been able to assist Sportringen in the chain’s important strategic steps on a tough and competitive market”, says David Ericson.
