MAGNUSSON ADVISES WALLHAMN AB ON ACQUIRING PERMISSION TO EXPAND

Magnusson represented Wallhamn AB, owned by Grimaldi Group Naples. Wallhamn AB administers approximately 215,000 vehicles per year.

Wallhamn AB constitutes a hub for Grimaldi Group’s and EUKOR’s vessel traffic to Scandinavia, Russia and the Baltics. Wallhamn AB's principal business consists of transferring larger vessels to smaller vessels, RoRo services, exports and imports of goods, mainly vehicles.

Wallhamn AB was advised by Magnusson on matters related to gaining approval for expansion of the port, dock and waterway, thus allowing the handling of calls by larger ships and increasing safety at sea. The work included consultation, preparation of permit application, correspondence with stakeholders, referral agencies and the Land and Environment Court.

On November 13th,  2013, the Land and Environment Court (in Vänersborg) announced the partial judgment in the case M 1956-12 and granted Wallhamn AB permission for expansion in accordance with the permit application. The Land and Environment Court announced that the permissions can be utilized even if the judgment has not been final.

Wallhamn AB was advised by Magnusson. Partner Marten Tagaeus handled the matter and was primarily assisted by Minna Signori.
