MAGNUSSON COPENHAGEN ADVISES ON THE FOREFRONT OF TECH DEVELOPMENT

2018-05-17

Magnusson partner Nikolaj Juhl Hansen who heads up the technology team in Denmark has advised on two pre-seed funding assignments for Danish start-ups.

Magnusson clients Camar and Children Development Services both received finance for further development of their respective technologies, international IP protection and preparation for product launch.

Christina Agger, CEO of tactile feedback technology developer Camar, says: “Nikolaj has been with us from the start and has helped us develop to the current stage, on many levels. As with all start-ups the actual financial reward is down the road, which Magnusson has understood in its implementation of a “light touch” billing procedure.” For more about Camar: http://www.camar.me/

Henrik Jeberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Camar, adds: “Having a lawyer by your side who is knowledgeable about technology startups from the very inception of your company adds another level of confidence throughout the funding process for both investors and founders. Nikolaj and  Magnusson has delivered on this promise and we are delighted to have Nikolaj by our side throughout our future journey”.

Christian Helweg-Larsen, CEO at Children Development Systems that develops intelligent children furniture with a focus on combining next generation technology and the individual learning style of each child says: “Nikolaj is a valued member of our team, both when it comes to the core legal advice and the business strategy development. Any start-up will benefit from doing things right from the outset, and Magnusson’s ability to invest in a joint future through innovative fee structures add real value to us”.

Magnusson Copenhagen operates a widely recognized information technology team that was lately again labelled by Legal 500 as a Danish top performer.

Nikolaj Juhl Hansen says: “It is so much fun to see these great teams develop an idea into a business. It is a very rewarding voyage to join. I truly believe that both Camar and Children Development Systems will flourish and turn into business successes. The teams, and the investors who believe in the start-ups, deserve. I look very much forward to continuing the journey with these guys.

The two recent transactions continues the trend of Magnusson Copenhagen advising on tech transactions, which has in recent years seen Magnusson advise on a range of funding and investment deals.
