MAGNUSSON APPOINTS SAM JALAEI AS NEW HEAD OF MIDDLE EAST GROUP
Focusing on corporate and commercial transactions with M&A in particular, Sam has successfully assisted both listed and non-listed, domestic and international blue chip companies representing various commercial sectors in the Middle East region for the past 18 years. Sam has advised on numerous matters, including corporate M&A, banking & finance, drafting and negotiating contracts, joint ventures, setting-up businesses, conducting due diligences, sanctions regime and other regulatory work, etc.
Due to his long standing proven track-record as a trusted advisor to clients and to his Middle Eastern origin, the clients highly appreciate his in-depth business cultural understanding and knowledge for commercially operational solutions and mechanisms in at times a complex and challenging region.
Sam is also praised for his vast commercial and governmental contacts and network in the region. He has been highly rated in both Chambers and Legal 500 and also been called-upon as a frequent keynote speaker and expert panellist both domestically and internationally on legal matters in the region, including on TV and other media.
Sam looks forward to assuming the position as the Head of Middle East Group at Magnusson: “I am truly honoured to be appointed to this position by my distinguished co-partners and colleagues and look forward to further developing and realizing the full potential of our firm’s great capabilities and service offerings to clients in the Middle East, both going to and coming from the region. Magnusson Middle East Group, with its highly talented and experienced team members, including specialists with the Middle Eastern origin, local law degrees and track record, is in my book the leading firm in the Baltic Sea region. Working closely as one team across our offices in the best interest of our clients is one of the main reasons and drivers for the firm’s continued success in the international stage. We will capitalize on the same set of values and principles in our work in this group going forward.”
Magnusson offers seamless legal services in all countries across the Baltic Sea region and beyond. The firm is on a regular basis recommended by independent standard setting publications, such as The Legal 500 EMEA, Chambers Global, and Chambers Europe.
Magnusson is the first law firm ever to win the British Legal Awards for three consecutive years: in 2012, 2013, and 2014 the firm was named European Law Firm of the Year.
