MAGNUSSON COPENHAGEN ATTRACTS ANOTHER SENIOR IN-HOUSE COUNSEL
Tom Froberg has for the past +25 years served as the general counsel, recently for the world leading Danish coating supplier Hempel and before that with Berendsen, the global Danish supplier of textile, hygiene and facilities services.
The recruitment of Tom S. Froberg follows on the Magnusson Denmark’s recruitments during recent years of Jens Vinther Nielsen, previously the general counsel to Skanska Denmark and Parken Sport & Entertainment, who now heads up Magnusson’s Danish real estate team, and Søren Theilgaard, the former general counsel to AIG in the Nordics and Royal Sun & Alliance’s Danish insurance arm Codan, who leads Magnusson’s Danish banking and finance team, as well as Copenhagen Business School professor Caspar Rose who recently joined the corporate team.
“We see a real need with clients to engage with lawyers who intimately know the business dynamics and challenges they are facing”, says Copenhagen Managing Partner Nikolaj Juhl Hansen, and adds: “With the recruitment of Tom we add yet another layer of expertise to our team. Tom has spent more than 25 years leading legal teams inside businesses, and it makes so much sense for clients to speak to someone who knows what they are facing. We are so fortunate to have been able to recruit such a capacity, and I am certain that Tom will be very successful here at Magnusson”.
Magnusson Copenhagen Partner, Sam Jalaei, who will take up the role as the head of Magnusson’s Middle East Desk on 1st November, adds: “Most of the cases we work on have an international component to them, and with Tom we are getting someone who has project managed legal work around the globe for decades. This is a feature that contributes real value to our client service delivery, and I look very much forward to working with Tom”.
