Elib was founded in 2000 to meet market needs for e-books and is today the largest distributor of e-books. Until now, Elib was owned by the Swedish publishers: Bonnier, Norstedts, Natur & Kultur and Piratförlaget which retains 30 percent of its ownership.
Magnusson's team was led by Dag Wetterberg (Media & Entertainment). The team also included Anders Bäckman (M&A), Gustaf Leijonhufvud (M&A) and Per Wiker (Tax).
