MAGNUSSON ASSISTS TOP CHINESE LAW FIRM IN ITS NORDIC EXPANSION
Grandall is a top-ranked Chinese law firm with approximately 2,000 lawyers in 26 offices. Through the opening of its Stockholm office, Grandall has become the first ever Chinese law firm with presence in the Nordic region. Magnusson assisted Grandall in connection with this process.
The office launch was celebrated at the “Cross-Border Investment and M&A Forum” co-organized by Magnusson and Grandall in Stockholm. The speakers included, among others, Han Xiaodong, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sweden, and Mikael Lindström, former Ambassador of Sweden to China. The event was focused on the latest trends in Chinese investments and M&A activity in the Nordic countries and Europe in general.
“We are delighted that Grandall has chosen Magnusson as an adviser and partner for establishing its presence in the Nordic region. Through our China Group, we have significant experience in working on China-related projects.
We notice a rapidly growing interest in Chinese investments in Sweden and the Nordics, and more widely, in the entire Baltic Sea Region. Grandall’s Nordic presence in combination with its extensive coverage in China and our close cooperation, makes it a compelling proposition to the market”, says Per Magnusson, Senior Partner and Founder of Magnusson International.
“Our clients’ increasingly need legal services in the Nordic countries and our decision to establish own office in Stockholm is aimed at addressing this demand. We have been successfully cooperating with Magnusson for a long time, so it was an obvious decision for us to choose Magnusson to assist us in connection with the office launch. We are looking forward to our continued close cooperation,” said Mr. Lv Hongbing, Vice President of the All China Lawyers Association and Chief Executive Partner of Grandall.
