MAGNUSSON REINFORCES ITS GOTHENBURG TEAM
Magnusson enhances its Swedish practice with the arrival of Katja Cato, who joins as a partner in Gothenburg.
Katja Cato advises domestic and international companies on legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, corporate law and general contract law.
Prior to joining Magnusson, Katja Cato worked 12 years at law firm Vinge in Stockholm, London and Gothenburg.
Katja holds an LL.M. (Jur. Kand.) degree from Gothenburg University and has been a member of the Swedish Bar Association since 2003.
It is another senior recruitment in the Gothenburg office in 2011. In March 2011, the team was boosted with the arrival of attorney David Ericson who joined from Bird & Bird.

Amendments made to the AML Law
Amendments have been made to the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism and Proliferation Financing, also known as the AML Law. The amendments are a part of Latvia’s attempts to comply with the legal acts of the European Union and to overcome the country’s weaknesses as stated in the Moneyval 2018 report.
