Martin Skovbjerg is an associate partner of Magnusson in Denmark and head of the firm´s Energy Practice and Dispute Practice. In addition to his background as a partner in a Danish law firm, Martin Skovbjerg has worked more than 15 years in the global energy industry, engaged with oil, gas, geothermal and pipeline projects, all over the world. As group Chief Legal Officer and member of the C-Level in an international oilfield service company operating in +40 countries, Martin Skovbjerg has been responsible for all aspects of legal risk management in an international business, e.g. dispute management, governance, regulatory compliance, financing, tax, investor relations, IP, internal investigations etc. In addition to this Martin Skovbjerg has been deeply involved in all operational aspects of corporate restructuring, business strategy development and execution in multi-dimensional and multi-cultural international environments.

With his background as attorney, director, advisor and C-Level member, Martin Skovbjerg has an extensive cross-border transactional track record, where he has been engaged as both executive and advisor on all aspects of various M&A, financing/debt markets and M&A transactions in multiple jurisdictions.

Besides being admitted as attorney to the Danish Bar and Danish High Court, Martin Skovbjerg is certified in International Taxation by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IFBD) in Holland, certified Prince 2 project manager, master of executive negotiation, as has he received leadership training at Harvard Business School.
