Taina works in business development at Magnusson, an international business law firm, and is part of Magnusson’s ESG and Sustainability team as ESG and Sustainability Specialist. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology, M.Sc. (Tech.).
Taina is currently writing her dissertation, while working full-time at Magnusson, at LUT University and her main research topics are sustainable development, ESG principles, CSRD, ESRS standards, EU taxonomy, CSDDD, and especially double materiality assessment.
Taina’s Master’s thesis focused on EU taxonomy and sustainability. During her M.Sc. she majored in circular economy and minored in entrepreneurship. Taina has several years of practical experience in business development in an international environment, and during her studies she also participated as a project manager in international projects that achieved significant results in the field of sustainability development.
As many companies, from listed companies to SMEs, increasingly face ESG issues in their day-to-day business, Magnusson’s ESG and Sustainability team plays an important role in advising companies on their sustainability practices and legal needs, assisting with ESG strategies, and providing specific advice on ESG regulation and other related issues.
Having worked in various international and national marketing, brand management and sales roles over the years, Taina also has a solid understanding of how sustainability and ESG issues affect a company’s reputation and business development with a range of different stakeholders.
