Magnusson named Best European Law Firm at British Legal Awards 2012

Magnusson scooped the coveted European Law Firm of the Year Award at the British Legal Awards 2012.

The Awards ceremony took place on 22nd November 2012 with an audience of nearly 1, 000 UK and international lawyers assembled at the Old Billingsgate Market in the City of London. The award was accepted by Senior Partner and Founder Per Magnusson, and Mariusz Kowalski, Chief Marketing Officer / Partner.

The British Legal Awards are hosted by Legal Week, a top UK weekly magazine focused on the legal industry. All the major UK and international law firms compete every year for the awards.

The winners were chosen by an independent panel of senior judges, such as Vodafone General Counsel Rosemary Martin, BAA Airports General Counsel Carol Hui, Intel Capital Deputy General Counsel Ian Stoodley, and Clifford Chance former Managing Partner Peter Cornell. The judging panel was chaired by Alasdair Douglas, chairman, City of London Law Society. The judges based their decisions on the following criteria: strategic vision, legal expertise, innovation, business winning, client care, employee development, diversity and corporate social responsibility.

Winners in other categories include such firms as Travers Smith, Allen & Overy, Linklaters, Burges Salmon, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Ashurst, and Herbert Smith Freehills. Other finalists in the European Law Firm of the Year category include such law firms as Arthur Cox, Garrigues and Noerr.

The award was accepted by Per Magnusson, Senior Partner, and Mariusz Kowalski, Head of Marketing.
