Counsel, Sweden
Magnus Jonson has been involved in dispute resolution, EU and competition law, intellectual property law, including patents, regulatory law, and marketing law for the past 25 years. He has served as the Deputy Director of the Legal Department at the Swedish Competition Authority, worked at leading law firms, acted as a legal advisor on competition law issues at the Ministry of Industry, and served as a judge in various courts.
With his extensive experience in courts, government administration, the Competition Authority, and law firms, Magnus possesses a broad and deep understanding of the legal, commercial, and political aspects of disputes. He assists clients with strategic advice, investigations, and dispute resolution. Often, the issues he addresses pertain to heavily regulated markets, such as the life sciences sector, and industries where intellectual property rights, including patents and copyrights, are crucial. Magnus has considerable experience in litigation across different courts, including the EU Court of Justice, and in representing clients before authorities.
