Michael Andersen

Summary

Michael Andersen is a qualified lawyer and has, among other things, a background as chief legal officer and deputy director of the Danish Real Estate Association and chief consultant in the Ministry of Housing. Michael has been a member of the Ministry of Justice’s Land Registry Committee and contributed with professional insight to other public committees.

Michael has considerable experience in all aspects of real estate transactions. Michael has been responsible for the standard forms used in the real estate brokerage industry, has written a large number of articles on legislation related to real estate transactions, and has drafted the two ministerial guidelines for standard statutes for owner associations.

As Deputy Director of the Danish Real Estate Association (Dansk Ejendomsmæglerforening), Michael played a pivotal role in introducing change of ownership insurance to the market. Through this initiative, he gained profound insight into insurance related matters, enabling him to provide valuable solutions for clients facing complex insurance challenges.

Michael also has extensive experience with cooperative housing and cooperative housing associations and has, among other things, drafted the standards that apply to the valuation of cooperative housing properties as well as the latest amendment to the valuation principles of the Cooperative Housing Act.

Michael has moreover dealt with association law, professional liability and tenancy law (commercial/residential/public) among other things.

In addition to his affiliation with Magnusson, Michael is employed as a teaching assistant at the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Business School and is appointed as an external examiner in financial subjects at the business academies.
