In case of a bankruptcy, the depositors will be covered under the Deposit Guarantee Scheme for depositors and investors. The guarantee amount covers an eligible depositor's funds up to an amount equivalent to 100,000 euros (about DKK 750,000). The maximum coverage applies to the total deposits with the bank, even if the money is in various accounts, including both client bank accounts and the client’s own accounts.
Special rules apply to deposits regarding real estate if the real estate has been used for or intended for mainly non-commercial purposes, amounts up to DKK 10 million are covered up to 12 months after the amount was deposited and whether the deposit is in a separate account.
