Magnusson Denmark supports BlackWood Ventures investment in Kenyan e-Commerce startup Kapu

Magnusson Denmark is pleased to announce its role in advising BlackWood Ventures, a pan-European technology-focused venture capital fund, on its recent pre-Series A investment in Kapu, a Kenyan e-commerce startup.

Kapu, founded in 2022, aims to reduce the cost of living for low-income consumers in Africa by offering essential goods through a network of local agents. The company has already made significant strides, serving 100,000 households monthly and processing 2 million customer orders annually.

The Magnusson Denmark team proudly assisted throughout all customary elements of a cross-border startup investment.

This latest funding round, which includes participation from existing investors such as Giant Ventures, firstminute capital, and Norrsken VC, will enable Kapu to scale its operations across Africa, enhance its logistics network, and introduce new fintech features.
