Magnusson Denmark advises SFS Group on Danish acquisition

Magnusson Denmark’s M&A team has assisted long-term Swiss client and SIX Swiss Exchange listed SFS Group to expand its market access in the Northern European construction industry through the acquisition of Jevith A/S, a Danish company that has provided professional fastening solutions to the Danish construction industry for many years.

The SFS Group is a leading global provider of mechanical fastening systems and precision components with manufacturing sites and distribution companies at more than 100 locations in 26 countries worldwide. Sales in fiscal year 2020 amounted to CHF 1,705 million and the workforce numbered about 10,000 (FTE).

SFS Group’s Benjamin Sieber, Head of Corporate Development & Investor Relations, says about the deal and Magnusson’s involvement: The acquisition allows SFS to gain access to customers from the Danish construction industry, which will further strengthen the position of the Construction Division as a specialist in fastening solutions in the building envelope. For their part, the customers of Jevith A/S will benefit from the complementary SFS product range.

Magnusson’s team was lead by co-heads of the Corporate M&A department Sam Jalaei and Nikolaj Juhl Hansen, who assisted SFS Group with all parts of the transactions, including legal due diligence and drafting/negotiation of transaction documents in a swift deal that it took less than 2 months to complete. Magnusson’s team also consisted of Head of Employment Tom Froberg and counsel in the Corporate M&A team Natalie Pu.
