Elisa Hätönen and Jarno Sulasalmi appointed as partners, Juha Taipale joins as Of Counsel

Magnusson Finland strengthens its partnership and expertise – Attorneys Elisa Hätönen and Jarno Sulasalmi appointed as Partners, Juha Taipale as Of Counsel 

Magnusson Finland has appointed attorneys Elisa Hätönen and Jarno Sulasalmi as partners as of 1 September 2025. Hätönen is promoted internally, while Sulasalmi joins Magnusson as a new face. 

Jarno Sulasalmi brings over 20 years of experience in handling demanding dispute resolution matters and arbitration proceedings. He specialises in disputes related to construction and real estate law, as well as liability for damages and breaches of contract. 

In addition, Sulasalmi has significant experience and track record in handling complex corporate crime matters. He regularly assists clients in criminal matters involving trade secrets, securities market, sanctions and fraud. Prior to joining Magnusson, Sulasalmi worked for many years as an attorney at an international law firm. 

“Jarno brings with him in-depth expertise and diverse experience in demanding dispute and criminal matters, particularly in the construction and real estate sectors. Elisa Hätönen has been working at Magnusson as Counsel since January 2025, focusing particularly on real estate law, contract matters, and corporate and M&A. Hätönen has unique and long-standing expertise in real estate transactions and development projects in leading Finnish law firms, and she has played a key role in several significant client projects at Magnusson.
